John Henry Faulk, who works on a farm in Madisonville, Texas, tells stories on “Hee Haw” about “the folks back home,” as well as comments on the political scene, much as he did years ago as a CBS radio personality.  After the producers of  “Hee Haw” saw a TV special about his life, they invited him to join the show as a resident humorist.
